The Historic Villages of Portugal is a non-profit private association that focus is work on the tourism development. Created in 2007, it aims to promote the tourism development of the Historic Villages of Portugal network, which includes Almeida, Belmonte, Castelo Mendo, Castelo Novo, Castelo Rodrigo, Idanha-a-Velha, Linhares da Beira, Marialva, Monsanto, Piódão, Sortelha and Trancoso.
